RESEARCHES
The International Center for Applied Technology has selected three Research Priority Areas for the years 2007 to 2008. The research priority areas are to promote cross-faculty co-operation, encourage interdisciplinary research and education and strengthen the communication of research results and dialogue with society. The three areas are:
Cross Cultural Management
This research priority area embraces core Managerial practices in a multicultural setting as well as ethical and socio-cultural transformations in the contemporary and future world order in global business
Audience studies
This research area focuses on the social implications of new era’s information communication technologies (ICTs) and the convergence in channels of communication. The research design tries to analyze the audience market in Indonesia and other south East Asian countries as well.
Data Mining and Exploration
The goals of this research project include development of efficient computational approaches to data modeling, data cleaning, and data reduction of high-dimensional large databases.
This is a long-term project. In the short term, the focus will be on automating the data mining process over data warehouses. This includes Integration of data mining with database systems and secondly, with the Scalable Data Mining Algorithms. We are particularly interested in efficiently building data mining models in linear or near-linear time. |
